This is a multi-center double-blind placebo controlled clinical trial evaluating the efficacy of VIB4920 combined with mycophenolate mofetil (MMF) and prednisone in achieving a renal response in participants with active lupus nephritis (LN).
The goal of this randomized clinical trial is to evaluate the effects of vibration on factors related to the risks of post-traumatic knee osteoarthritis and secondary anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury in individuals who have undergone anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction surgery (ACLR). The main objectives are to compare the effects of Standard rehabilitation vs. rehabilitation that includes whole body vibration (WBV) or local muscle vibration (LMV) on: - Quadriceps muscle function - Gait biomechanics linked to post-traumatic knee osteoarthritis development - Patient self-report outcomes - ...
The goal of this study is to determine whether introducing VR in the immediate post-operative period following scoliosis repair can reduce perceived pain and stress in pediatric patients and in turn ultimately decrease opioid use. Based on previous studies that have been performed in other fields of pediatrics showing a decrease in pain and stress with VR use, the investigators hypothesize that VR will significantly decrease patient's reported level of pain and stress immediately following the VR session, and that patients will require less opioids during their inpatient stay as a result.
The purpose of this study is to assess the efficacy and safety of voclosporin compared to placebo in achieving renal response following 24 weeks of therapy in adolescents with active lupus nephritis (LN).
Primary Objective: To assess the efficacy of ZILRETTA on pain following an intra-articular (IA) injection in subjects with glenohumeral osteoarthritis (OA) relative to normal saline placebo Secondary Objective: - To assess the efficacy of ZILRETTA on pain following an IA injection in subjects with glenohumeral OA relative to triamcinolone acetonide injectable suspension, immediate release (TCA-IR) and normal saline placebo - To assess the safety of ZILRETTA in subjects with glenohumeral OA relative to normal saline placebo and TCA-IR
The objectives of this study are to confirm the safety, performance, and clinical benefits of Zimmer Biomet Shoulder Arthroplasty Systems and its instrumentation in primary or revision shoulder arthroplasty. These objectives will be assessed using standard scoring systems, radiographic evidence, and adverse event records. Safety of the system will be assessed by monitoring the frequency an incidence of adverse events.
The goal of this randomized controlled trial is to compare opioid medication consumption after surgery for patients who have a total knee replacement. The main questions it aims to answer are: - How well does the study drug control pain in the days after surgery? - Does the study drug reduce the amount of opioid analgesic consumed after surgery? Participants in the study group will undergo a total knee replacement as planned with their surgeon. In addition, be given the study drug, Zynrelef (combination of bupivacaine and meloxicam). Researchers will compare the above to a control group who will have a total...
This project intends to explore and validate the utility of new MRI pulse sequence, 3D DL oZTEo, in the detection of osseous erosions of the hand in patients with inflammatory arthritis. The detection of osseous structural changes, such as erosive disease, is routinely assessed in patients with rheumatic conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, as it alters clinical management, and in some cases assists in diagnosis. Currently, this is most often assessed with radiography and conventional MRI.
This study aims to evaluate the efficacy and safety of subcutaneous (SC) anifrolumab versus placebo in adult participants with cutaneous lupus erythematosus (CLE).
Background: Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), also called lupus, is a disease that causes the body s immune system to attack healthy tissue. Lupus causes swelling and inflammation in the skin, skin, joints, kidneys, brain, blood vessels, and other organs. There is no cure for lupus. Current treatments do not help everyone and may have adverse effects. Better treatments are needed. Objective: To test a study drug (Gusacitinib) in people with lupus. Eligibility: People aged 18 years and older with lupus. Design: Participants will be screened. They will have a physical exam with blood and...
