This protocol will evaluate patients with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) and their relatives to learn more about how the disease develops and changes over time. It will also study genetic factors that make a person susceptible to SLE. Patients 10 years of age and older with known or suspected SLE and their relatives may be eligible for this study. Patients will be evaluated with a medical history and physical examination, blood and urine tests. Other procedures may include: 1. Electrocardiogram 2. 24-hour urine collection 3. Imaging studies, such as chest and joint X-rays, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)...
Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) is a chronic inflammatory disease causing pain, stiffness, swelling and loss of joint function. This study will assess how safe and effective upadacitinib is in treating RA when compared to adalimumab in adult participants with inadequate response or intolerance to one TNF-inhibitor who are on a stable dose of methotrexate (MTX). Adverse events and change in disease activity will be assessed. Upadacitinib is an approved drug for the treatment of RA. This study is double-blinded means that neither the participants nor the study doctors will know who will be given upadacitinib and who will be given...
This is a randomized, active-controlled, open-label study to assess the safety, tolerability and efficacy of Afabicin in the treatment of participants with bone or joint infection due to Staphylococcus aureus [both methicillin-susceptible S. aureus (MSSA) and methicillin-resistant S. aureus (MRSA)] and/or coagulase-negative staphylococci (CoNS) and to compare it to standard of care (SOC).
The objective of this registry is to compare outcomes of risankizumab-exposed pregnancies with those of pregnancies that were not exposed to risankizumab among women with plaque psoriasis, psoriatic arthritis (PsA), Crohn's disease (CD), or other conditions for which risankizumab is an FDA-approved treatment. The registry is designed to estimate the association between risankizumab and maternal, fetal, and infant outcomes by comparing the prevalence rates of these outcomes in the exposed and unexposed populations. Approximately 818 female participants with pregnancy will be enrolled (409 participants exposed to risankizumab and 409...
This is a double-blind, randomized, placebo-controlled, PoC study to evaluate the efficacy, safety, and tolerability of efzofitimod in patients with SSc-ILD. The primary objective of the study is to evaluate the PoC for efficacy in a population with SSc-ILD. While improvement of ILD is the outcome of interest, the study will also evaluate changes in the skin. After initial screening (up to 4 weeks), approximately 25 eligible participants will be randomized 2:2:1 to 1 of 2 active (experimental) dose arms or placebo, administered every 4 weeks up to and including Week 20.
This study will examine how intravenous (i.v.) Secukinumab will be processed in the body (pharmacokinetics [PK]) and whether it will be safe and tolerable after multiple doses of i.v. Secukinumab infusion in adult patients with giant cell arteritis (GCA) or polymyalgia rheumatica (PMR).
The purpose of this study is evaluating the efficacy and safety of SC antifrolumab in adult patients with moderate -to-severe SLE despite receiving standard therapy
The purpose of this study is to determine a grading system for inflammation in lumbar disc herniation and which groups, if any, benefit most from the administration of an intra-operative epidural steroid.
This study will evaluate the subscapularis repair versus non-repair during a reverse shoulder arthroplasty (RSA).
The goal of this basic science study is to learn about the brain mechanisms of chronic pain across different chronic pain syndromes in pediatric patients. The main questions it aims to answer are: - Are there shared and distinct brain systems engaged by different forms of pediatric chronic pain? - What are predictors of recovery from chronic pain? - What brain systems are associated with the spread of pain? For this study participants will undergo: - Functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging (fMRI) - Quantitative Sensory Testing - Psychological Assessments
