The goal of this clinical trial is to characterize to understand the effects of a type of cell therapy called Chimeric Antigen Receptor T lymphocyte (CAR T) therapy in adult patients with the autoimmune disease dermatomyositis. This study will utilize a technology that modifies a type of white blood cell called the cytotoxic T lymphocyte-this T cell normally functions in the immune system to kill infected or potentially harmful cells in the body. In CAR T therapy, the patients' white blood cells are harvested and the cytotoxic T cells are isolated and modified such that they are programmed to kill any cell that has a protein structure called "CD19" on its outer surface (membrane)....
Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis (JIA) is the most common type of arthritis that affects children. The term "idiopathic" means "of unknown origin". It is a chronic (long-lasting) disease that causes swelling, warmth, and pain of one or more small joints. Systemic JIA ia a rare and serious form of JIA. Systemic" means it may affect not only the joints but other parts of the body, including the liver, lungs and heart. sJIA is more severe and can be more challenging to diagnose and treat than other types of juvenile idiopathic arthritis. It is a lifelong disease for many patients and can continue into adulthood. This study will assess how safe and effective upadacitinib is in treating...
The primary goal of this clinical trial is to learn if PIPE-791 is safe and well-tolerated in adults with chronic osteoarthritis pain (COAP) or chronic low back pain (CLBP). The study will also explore whether PIPE-791 lowers pain in people with COAP or CLBP. Subjects will: - Complete a washout period to stop their current pain medications. - Take a daily dose of PIPE-791 or placebo for 4 weeks, then reverse treatment assignment for another 4 weeks. - Record pain levels and track dosing in a daily e-diary. - Visit the clinic for checkups and lab tests throughout the study. - Complete phone assessments during the treatment periods.
The primary objective of this study is to characterize the pharmacokinetics (PK) and pharmacodynamics (PD) of treatment with ravulizumab IV in pediatric participants to support the extrapolation of efficacy from the adult population.
This study will test the safety and effects of SBT777101 when given as a single dose to subjects with rheumatoid arthritis. It is the first study of this treatment being done in humans. Increasing dose levels will be given after the safety at lower dose levels is shown.
To evaluate the safety, efficacy and tolerability of sparsentan oral suspension and tablets, and assess changes in proteinuria after once-daily dosing over 108 weeks.
This protocol will evaluate patients with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) and their relatives to learn more about how the disease develops and changes over time. It will also study genetic factors that make a person susceptible to SLE. Patients 3 years of age and older with known or suspected SLE and their relatives may be eligible for this study. Patients will be evaluated with a medical history and physical examination, blood and urine tests. Other procedures may include: 1. Electrocardiogram 2. 24-hour urine collection 3. Imaging studies, such as chest and joint X-rays, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scans, bone scans, and bone densitometry. 4....
Psoriatic arthritis (PsA) is a type of arthritis that happens when the body's immune system attacks healthy cells and tissues causing joint pain, stiffness, and swelling. Symptoms can get worse and go away for periods of time. This study will evaluate the efficacy and safety of targeted therapies through a series of substudies, for the treatment of active psoriatic arthritis and to assess the changes in disease symptoms. The therapies being assessed in this sub-study are risankizumab and lutikizumab. Participants will be randomized in a 1:1:1 ratio to one of the three treatment arms: lutikizumab monotherapy, risankizumab monotherapy or a combination therapy of lutikizumab and...
The purpose of the OBSErve-LN study is to assess the real-world use and effectiveness of belimumab in routine practice for the treatment of adults with active LN in multiple countries of interest. This study aims to provide the first long-term (up to 5 years) assessment of renal function preservation in belimumab treated participants.
The main objective of this study is to explore the efficacy of avacopan in participants affected by AAV.
