The primary goal of this study is to investigate lung disease, through pulmonary function and high resolution chest CT, in newly diagnosed rheumatoid arthritis (RA) patients. Extra-articular disease occurs in approximately 50% of RA patients, with the lung being a common site of involvement. Investigators goal is to understand the prevalence of lung disease in early RA patients and to better characterize it through questionnaires, imaging, and serum studies. Additionally, the goal is to find novel biomarkers to predict lung disease in RA patients.
The purpose of this research study is to evaluate the effectiveness and safety of a permanent embolic (Embosphere Microspheres) for embolization of the geniculate artery for the treatment of moderate to severe knee osteoarthritis.
This study investigates the feasibility of a gait-retraining program for older adults with knee osteoarthritis. The study will enroll 40 participants, with 20 receiving a gait retraining intervention and 20 receiving a graded walking program without gait retraining.
This study aims to evaluate behavioral interventions in conjunction with medical rehabilitation to promote functional health in patients recovering from orthopedic surgery. Half of the subjects in this study will be assigned to an intervention that meets with a study therapist to discuss implementing healthy habits. The other half of subjects will assigned to an intervention group that meets with a study therapists to discuss implementing healthy sleep habits. Both groups will undergo several physical and cognitive assessments.
In a previous exploratory study, the investigators observed an effect on disease activity outcomes of anti-inflammatory diet. The investigators also observed change in microbiome and circulating metabolites. The current study will determine whether or not the addition of anti-inflammatory diet improves the clinical outcomes in participants with Osteoarthritis, and the role of microbiome and circulating metabolites.

To study the effect of anti-inflammatory diet on clinical and biological outcomes in patients with knee osteoarthritis
The purpose of this study is to measure the effect of various corticosteroids administered to the shoulder, knee and hip joints in diabetic patients on resultant blood glucose readings.
The goal of this clinical trial is to learn about the effect of ketamine on intraoperative motor evoked potentials in adult patients undergoing thoracolumbar spinal fusions. Participants will undergo a standard anesthetic. In addition to the standard anesthetic, the patients will be administered increasing doses of ketamine with motor-evoked potentials being measured at each dose, to assess any impacts.
The goal of this study is to determine if pain in one knee influences loading of the other knee during different types of walking. The main questions it aims to answer are: - How does unilateral knee pain affect contralateral knee joint loading during different types of walking? - Does movement and loading change at the hips, knees, and ankles during prolonged walking in persons with painful knee osteoarthritis? Participants will: - Fill out questionnaires/surveys - Complete clinical examinations - Walking on a treadmill under different types of walking conditions - ...
