Evaluate surgical treatment outcomes and identify best practice guidelines for complex adult spinal deformity (ASD) patients, including radiographic and clinical outcomes, surgical and postoperative complications, risk factors for and revision surgery rates, and the role of standard work to improve patient outcomes and reduce surgical and postoperative complications.
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety and efficacy of custom made devices, Zenith t-Branch devices and physician modification of FDA approved off-the-shelf endovascular grafts in the treatment of patients with complex abdominal aneurysms, aortoiliac aneurysms, thoracoabdominal aneurysms and aortic arch aneurysms who (1) have anatomy not suitable for endovascular repair using grafts currently marketed in the United States,(2) are deemed unsafe to wait the required time necessary for commercial endograft manufacturing, and (3) are at high risk for open surgical repair. Amendment to the study has created a cohort open to people with connective tissue diseases such...
The objective of this retrospective and prospective consecutive series data collection is to confirm safety, performance, and clinical benefits of the Comprehensive SRS Regenerex Tissue Attachment Augments when used for limb salvage arthroplasty.
The goal of this clinical trial is to learn if a brief health coaching intervention based on an approach known as brief action planning + Fitbit can increase physical activity in employees with chronic knee symptoms who work for Advocate Aurora Health. The main questions it aims to answer are: - Will a greater proportion of people in the health coaching intervention increase physical activity to at least 150 minutes of moderate-to-vigorous physical activity per week than a group of people with an attention-control intervention (Fitbit+health education coaching)? - Can we predict who will not increase physical activity levels to at least 150 minutes...
The Conduit cages are intended to restore the intervertebral height and to facilitate the intervertebral body fusion in the cervical and lumbar spine in skeletally mature patients with degenerative disc disease and instabilities at one or more levels of the spine. The Fibergraft Bioactive Glass (BG) is engineered to mimic the body's natural bone healing process. While previous studies have described the use of conduit cages in interbody fixation procedures, these studies did not specifically study the clinical and radiographic outcomes of patients who have received these implants in addition to Fibergraft. We aim to recruit patients with degenerative disc disease, and...
The purpose of this research study is to determine if the effectiveness of a single injection of CTM Boost in the treatment of patients with rotator cuff tendinopathy (RCT) is as effective as a single injection of platelet rich plasma (PRP) in reducing the symptoms of RCT.
This study will evaluate the safety, tolerability, and effects of stimulating the splenic neurovascular bundle (NVB) with the Galvani System, which consists of a lead, implantable pulse generator, external components and accessories. The study will consist of 4 study periods, including a Randomized Control Trial period (Period 1), an Open Label period (Period 2), a Treat-to-target period (Period 3), and a Long-term Follow-up period (Period 4). Participants eligible for implant will have active rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and have an inadequate response or intolerance to at least two biologic Disease Modifying Anti-Rheumatic Drugs (DMARDs) or JAK inhibitors (JAKis). A sufficient...
The goal of this clinical trial is to assess the use of a generative artificial intelligence large language model chatbot in improving decision making factors in patients with hip and knee osteoarthritis. The main questions it aims to answer are: Does the use of an artificial intelligence chatbot have an effect on decisional conflict and anxiety related to decision making? Are changes in decisional conflict correlated with changes in patient reported outcomes? Are changes in decisional conflict correlated with health literacy? Participants will interact with an artificial intelligence chatbot prior to their clinic visit with an orthopaedic surgeon, using a structured prompt.
This prospective, non-interventional research registry is designed to study the comparative effectiveness and comparative safety of approved treatments for RA in a cohort of patients cared for by rheumatologists across North America. Secondary objectives include analyzing the epidemiology and natural history of the disease, its comorbidities, and current treatment practices.
The purpose of this study is to evaluate conservative pain relief measures for patients suffering from glenohumeral arthritis or rotator cuff arthropathy. Conservative management of osteoarthritis is often first line treatment, and while a corticosteroid injection is frequently used, suprascapular nerve blocks have not often been described as an analgesic option in this population.
