VIA Disc NP is a non-surgical intervention intended to supplement nucleus pulposus tissue in degenerated intervertebral discs. This is a randomized, sham-controlled, multi-center, double-blind clinical trial with an open label roll-in period of one participant per site in which participants with lumbar discogenic pain associated with DDD will receive one VIA Disc NP treatment to each affected level (up to 2 levels). Participants enrolled after the roll-in stage will be randomized on a 2:1 basis to receive either a single VIA Disc NP intradiscal injection at 1 or 2 levels or the sham procedure at 1 or 2 levels. At 12 months, participants in the sham arm with continued symptoms...
The study will assess the outcomes of patients treated with concomitant hip arthroscopy at the time of periacetabular osteotomy (PAO) for patients with hip dysplasia compared with patients treated with PAO alone.
This is a prospective, Phase 3, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled efficacy study to evaluate celiprolol in patients genetically confirmed as COL3A1-positive vEDS using a decentralized clinical trial design.
This research involves retrospective and prospective studies for clinical validation of a DystoniaNet deep learning platform for the diagnosis of isolated dystonia.
A 2 and 5 year evaluation of clinical outcomes in the treatment of degenerative spinal stenosis with concomitant low back pain by decompression with additional stabilization using the coflex® Interlaminar Technology for FDA Actual Conditions of Use Study.
This study will evaluate the impact of a novel non-pharmacological multimodal therapy, a type of approach known to improve pain outcomes and recommended by the Institute of Medicine report for chronic pain management. This study design will also allow the investigators to evaluate a neural model supporting therapeutic alliance for pain outcomes for fibromyalgia.
The purpose of this study is to obtain biologic materials from the blood, airways and/or urine of normal individuals and individuals with lung disease. The normal are used to establish a set of normal ranges for various parameters. These provide control information when compared to individuals with various pulmonary diseases, and will help in understanding of the etiology and pathogenesis of various lung diseases. The underlying hypothesis is that the pathologic morphological changes in the airway epithelium must be preceded by changes in the gene expression pattern of the airway epithelium and potentially in macrophages.
Compare the lumbar fusion rates at 12 and 24 months when lumbar arthrodesis is performed using Virtuous or Autograft Bone Graft. Surgical approach is limited to TLIF (MIS or Open) with posterior fixation and supplemental posterolateral fusion as directed by physician, but must comply with FDA approved/cleared indication for use and labeling.
Morton's neuroma is a benign thickening involving the plantar interdigital nerve, most common in middle aged women. Morton's neuroma is one of the most frequent diagnoses seen in the investigators podiatry clinic and is difficult to treat. These lesions cause a burning or shooting pain that can radiate to the toes, or an aching pain in the ball of the foot. The pain is exacerbated with activity and certain footwear greatly limits activity in the involved patient population. Morton's neuroma is first treated conservatively with orthotics. Patients may require further interventions such as steroid injections. The literature reports only a 30% long term resolution of pain with...
The purpose of this study is to conduct a pragmatic clinical trial comparing the effectiveness of: (1) 8-week cognitive behavioral therapy for chronic pain (pain-CBT; sixteen hours total treatment time); and (2) a 1-session pain relief skills intervention for chronic pain (Empowered Relief; two hours total treatment time).
