The purpose of this retrospective chart review study is to collect the data that will be used to provide clinical evidence to support the post-market surveillance program.
Purpose of research The purpose of this study was to demonstrate that polyethylene (Vitamin E-containing polyethylene), a newly introduced biomaterial for tibial inserts in hip replacement surgery and widely used clinically, but whose mid- to long-term clinical results are still unknown, is superior to conventional polyethylene in vivo. The aim of this project is to conduct an international multi-center joint research study to determine whether polyethylene wear debris production can be reduced in the future, using an in vivo polyethylene wear debris analysis method that the investigators developed as a method that can provide early feedback.
Compared to the knee and shoulder, the hip joint leaves relatively little space to maneuver arthroscopic instruments and camera. To expand the potential space in the hip joint, traction is commonly applied to the operative leg through a perineal post. This is an effective technique to improve the working space for arthroscopy, however it has been associated with complications, including perineal numbness. Traction pads, used alone or with a perineal post, can reduce pressure on the perineal area, thus reducing numbness. The aim of this research study is to test the feasibility of a physical and mental health intervention (Positive Minds, Strong Joints or PMSJ) for Black adults with knee osteoarthritis (OA).
The H3 TAR Prosthesis was approved by FDA (P160036) on June 4, 2019. Continued approval of the premarket approval application (PMA) is contingent upon the submission of periodic reports (Annual Report), required under 21 CFR 814.84. In order to provide continued reasonable assurance of the safety and effectiveness of the PMA device, data from this post-approval study must be submitted to FDA in a PMA Post-Approval Study Report per the requirements set forth in the approval.
This is a prospective, multi-center open-label single arm post-market study where the purpose is to evaluate the effectiveness and safety of the market approved Spinal Simplicity Minuteman G5 MIS Fusion Plate and bone graft material in patients with degenerative conditions of the lumbar spine resulting in chronic low back pain with lower extremity symptoms and concurrent neurogenic claudication. The indication for the device under study is degenerative conditions of the lumbar spine resulting in back pain with lower extremity symptoms and neurogenic claudication.
This is a phase IV post-marketing study for MagnetOs Easypack Putty. MagnetOs Easypack Putty is a synthetic bone graft extender product that is routinely used by surgeons as a treatment for patients with degenerative disc disease or spinal trauma undergoing spinal fusion surgery. In this study, MagnetOs Easypack Putty will be used according to the latest U.S. Instructions For Use, standalone in the posterolateral spine.
The PROMISSE Study is an observational study of 700 pregnant patients, enrolled at nine major clinical centers. The purpose of the study is 1) to determine whether certain proteins (called complement split products) that can injure healthy organs can be used to predict poor pregnancy outcome in patients with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) and anti-phospholipid syndrome (APS), and/or 2) to determine whether elevated levels of circulating antiangiogenic factors predict pregnancy complications in patients with aPL antibodies and/or SLE.

The purpose of this pilot study is to assess the feasibility of longitudinal neurodevelopmental evaluation of fetuses and infants exposed to Lyme disease in utero. Participants with Lyme disease or Post-Treatment Lyme Disease Syndrome (PTLDS) will be recruited during pregnancy. Pregnancies will be monitored and infant development will be assessed from birth until age 18 months.
