The researchers are trying to identify molecular mechanisms that control spine deformity and degenerative changes that can be used for therapeutic strategies.
The researchers are trying to identify molecular mechanisms that control growth plate mediated limb growth and identify agents that can be used to enhance or slow growth.
In this study, a total of 219 subjects from the MOON nested cohort will be studied at CCF, Vanderbilt and OSU, Table 1. Among them, some will have added MRI during their 10-year visit for the MOON study. Some subjects who finished their 10-year visit for the MOON Onsite study already will be called back to have MRI. PROMs and other information of these subjects will be collected through the MOON study.
The aim of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness and safety of Natural Matrix Protein™ (NMP™) fibers when used in cervical or lumbar interbody fusion in patients with degenerative disc disease (DDD), spinal stenosis, spondylolisthesis undergoing cervical or lumbar interbody spine fusion at no more than 3 adjacent levels.
The objective of this study is to evaluate the performance of Induce Biologics NMP™ when used to promote interbody fusion for degenerative disease of the lumbar spine.
The purpose of the NURTURE Registry is to enroll those who are pregnant and/or potentially capable of pregnancy. Participants will complete patient-reported surveys at enrollment and periodically prior to conception, during pregnancy, and following the completion of the study pregnancy. The study rheumatologist will provide the patient's diagnosis and record rheumatic disease activity at each clinic visit. Medication use, vital signs, and routine laboratory assessments will be collected throughout this period. Pregnancy, maternal, and infant outcomes will be obtained through the electronic medical record and from patient-reported surveys. This Registry will provide a rich...
The primary objective of this study is to evaluate the safety and performance of anterior cervical spine surgery using the NuVasive anterior cervical plate (ACP) System as measured by reported complications, radiographic outcomes, and patient-reported outcomes (PROs).
The goal of this clinical trial is to learn about the use of turmeric (Curcumin) as a treatment for pain of thumb-joint arthritis. Turmeric is commonly being used as an over-the-counter treatment for musculoskeletal pain. Clinical trials have demonstrated a pain-relief benefit for knee osteoarthritis, however no clinical trial has been performed to establish efficacy of curcumin in humans for thumb-joint arthritis. The main question[s] it aims to answer are: - Is Turmeric more effective than placebo at relieving pain for thumb-joint arthritis? A placebo is a look-alike substance that contains no active drug. - Is Turmeric more effective than placebo at improving...
The objective of this clinical trial is to show that PEMF therapy, heat, recovery metrics, and compliance data provided by the OrthoCor Advanced System improves pain and quality of life for patients with osteoarthritis. The main question it aims to answer is: Does therapy from the OrthoCor Advanced System improve symptoms of osteoarthritis? Researchers will compare range of motion measurements, sit to stand test results, and functional survey answers to see if there are any changes after 4 weeks of therapy with the OrthoCor Advanced System. Participants will use the OrthoCor Active System for 30 minutes twice daily and complete recovery measurements daily using an application.
The purpose of this study is to assess the degree of improvement seen patient reported outcomes after 30 sessions of UVA-1 therapy in treating systemic scleroderma, morphea, and sclerodermatous Graft-Versus-Host Disease. While patients have verbally reported improvement of their sclerosing skin disease with UVA-1, patient reported outcomes have not been rigorously studied. In sclerosing skin diseases where clinical change is difficult to measure, patient reported outcomes may offer a better way to study the impact of treatments like UVA-1. This will be a non-blinded, non-randomized prospective trial using UVA-1 phototherapy in patients with established sclerosing skin disease....
